Indians survive 1-0 win over Millersburg

The Juniata Indians once again found itself in the win column as it defeated Millersburg in a very tough hard earned 1-0 win.

It would be a contest that wasn’t for the faint of heart with no first half goals.

In Second Half, the Indians’ Stuart Dare hit an unassisted goal at the 23-minute mark for the game winner.

Juniata dominated the shots on goal department, 14-2. They also led in corner opportunities 3-0.

Miller’s burg had nine goalkeeper saves while Juniata just needed two.

“The game showcased two very different styles of soccer. As a coaching staff we were proud of the way the boys controlled the game and played most of the game in the opponents end,” said Juniata coach Jared Byler. “Stuart Dare did a great job of finishing an opportunity he was given to score from distance. We are looking forward to the challenge Greenwood will present to us in our next game.”
