Penns Valley tops Juniata in Softball action

MILL HALL – It was a strong night for the home team Tuesday afternoon as the Penns Valley softball team defeated Juniata 7-2.

Picking up the win was pitcher Lydia Collison. Collison finished her outing with an 8-strikeout 1-walk performance.
Penns Valley’s offense finished with seven runs, 12 hits and three errors.
Along with a good on the mound Collison finished with a double and a run scored.
Teammate Kaylah Thompson tallied three singles, an RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base.
Kendra Bumgardner also had a good night at the plate with a double, two singles, two runs scored, 2 RBIs and a stolen base.
– Ryah Thompson added to the list of strong hitters finishing with a single and a run scored.
Ryleigh Cain roped a double, single and had 2 RBIs en route to the victory.
